Our Services
Come by and visit our Resource Centre, have a cup of coffee, learn more about FASD and the services we provide.
Family Response: Provides support to caregivers, connects support systems and assists with diagnostic assessment process.
"We have a 13 year old adopted son who we suspect has FASD. We contacted your agency and the staff took the time to talk and guide us through the diagnostic process. We have since joined the Family Support Group and have a safe place to share. The staff are wonderful listeners and they have given us so many helpful suggestions too. The wisdom that the staff have about FASD has been a great support to us".
MH, Okotoks
Adult Response: Provides support to adults who would like to explore their own possible FASD.
"I’m a 34 year old guy who was diagnosed with FASD when I was a teenager. I got to know the people at FFAS when I was having troubles not only in my life, but in the community too. PH has been my advocate, mentor, support worker, a Mom and a good friend. She has helped me in so many ways and I thank her from the bottom of my heart".
CH, Turner Valley
Professional Response: Provides consultation, workshops, in-services for professionals working with people affected by FASD.
"I would like to thank you for the wonderful service you have provided to us. We have some clients in our agency that have been diagnosed with FASD. When I called I found out that not only could you provide us with material, but also workshops for our staff too."
KC, Independent Counselling Enterprises Inc. Nanton
Community Response: Assists communities to develop and maintain awareness around the issue of FASD.
"Thank you very much for coming to my Health class to talk to the students about FASD. The students enjoyed your presentation and the activities that you provided for them. More importantly, I am sure that they now understand that drinking during pregnancy can have serious consequences. We really do appreciate that you took the time to come to our school".
